We appreciate everyone has concerns about the COVID-19 virus and the potential inability to travel to the US. The European Travel Ban which has just been extended to the UK and Ireland will be in place from March 16th

The J1 Program is very much going ahead and processing is proceeding as normal although is somewhat slower than usual. As the J1 start date is from May 15th, we are optimistic that the travel bans will have been lifted well in advance of this. In the event that the travel ban prevents the J1 program from taking place, we will be in touch with you regarding your booking and next steps.

In the meantime, we will be in contact with you individually regarding your current booking status and payment deadlines and the implications of being at deposit stage versus paid in full with documents up to date, particularly in light of the current unprecedented situation.

Please bear with us whilst we asses this ever changing situation and be assured we are doing our best to ensure that participants get to avail of this great experience once the situation settles down. So now is not the time to panic! Now is the time to get all your documentation together and job offers in !

In light of the Usit Liquidation, we wish to assure all our customers that workandtravel.ie is financially secure and will make it through these unprecedented times. For those of you who have booked with Usit and need assistance, we will do all we can to assist in whatever way possible. Whist the coming weeks and months are uncertain for travel plans, the future of work abroad programs is not in doubt and we hope to have as many people as possible travelling and starting new adventures once planes are allowed to fly!

Stay safe and well.
